CREW Shuttle Chauffeur Job Description

This work requires sitting for long periods of time. It can be stressful when dealing with emergency situations or with routine work punctuated by very busy periods.

Job Summary: coordinate, prioritizes, and fulfill shuttle schedule transfers for the assigned shuttle schedule in a professional, timely manner using good judgment while keeping safety a top consideration. 


  • Take custody of shuttle phone at the beginning of shift

  • Transfer clients in a safe, timely, on schedule, lawful manner according to company procedures and protocols.

  • Able to lift 70lbs regularly

  • Answer shuttle telephone andrequests for service

  • Speak directly with clients, answering questions

  • Maintaining solid customer relationships by handling questions and concerns with speed and professionalism as described in the employee hand book.

  • Monitor the workload of the schedule ensuring on time transfers

  • Process and transmit information to other shuttle drivers via phone, or text

  • Advise other shuttle drivers about traffic problems such as construction areas, accidents, congestion, weather conditions or other hazards

  • Record information as required by the company

  • Verifying & checking flight statuses

  • Confirm shift availability in a timely manner

  • Able to be flexible with job duties

  • Report to managers when something is broken or needs repair

  • Keep vehicle clean and tidy inside and out

  • Fuel vehicles as needed

  • Check company assigned email box daily

  • Follow directions from the dispatch office regarding updates and schedule changes

  • Executes all terms and conditions as set forth in BAC Transportation’s employee handbook

  • may not provide “lift” services or assistance to any client or hospital guest not in a wheelchair; only offer a hand for assistance

  • good eyesight, hearing, manual co-ordination and dexterity

  • a good memory for details and procedures

  • good judgment and decision making skills

  • be able to back a car or van with trailer proficiently and under pressure

Shuttle Drivers usually work shift’s that vary depending on flight times but typically are around 6AM-2PM, 2PM- 10PM and 10PM -6AM and often include, holidays and weekends. They sometimes work longer to complete transfers or wait for relief workers.
