Job Summary: This position is responsible for supporting the Human Resource Director / Human Resource department by keeping all company information confidential, secured, accurate and updated at all times e.g. data entry, record keeping, reporting, updating database systems and files. This position coordinates, prioritizes, and processes all correspondence in a professional, timely manner using good judgment.


  • Support users of the Human Resource System by answering questions and assists with training.

  • Provide a range of administrative support services to BAC team and the Human Resource department such as scanning, filing and data entry, preparing, emailing, calling, distributing necessary documents to team members and maintaining various databases.

    Deal with queries into the HR department by phone, email and in person.

    Production of correspondence in accordance with agreed procedures and deadlines. e.g. Applicant response letters,

  • Produce general correspondence such as standard contracts of employment, employment verification letters and all other associated paperwork.

  • Ensure applications are processed in a timely, accurate manner and that the correct office procedures are followed.

  • Correspond to all applications with follow up regarding interview, orientation invitations and any other associated selection/ non-selection correspondence.

  • Ensure website and ad listings are current and maintained with up to date recruitment information.

  • Process pre-employment checks required for the position e.g., Security checks, driving records, verification of Medical Examiner Certificates etc.

  • Schedule and conduct interviews and orientations when needed.

  • Ensure all paperwork related to orientation is sent out and completed in a timely manner. e.g. New Hire Sheets, W4’s Uniform Rental Agreements to Accounting.

  • Conduct various training exercises and classes to educate staff on policies.

  • Maintaining oversight of the company MRO and Drug Screening program.

  • Maintain and post birthday, ninety-day pins and praise reports.

  • Distribute and process all documents and correspondence received in a timely manner with a sense of urgency.

  • Maintain solid employee, business and customer relationships by handling questions and concerns with confidentiality, speed and professionalism as described in the employee hand book.

  • Monitor company email boxes and other software data bases.

  • Record all compliance information with a sense of urgency as required by the company. e.g. files updated, software data bases kept up to date in order to maintain Department of Labor at Federal and State level, Department of Transportation compliance, Drug Testing compliance, Airport Badge and JBER compliance.

  • Assist, prepare and attend job fairs when needed.

  • Distribute, maintain/ follow up, educate and process all Health Benefit information with a sense of urgency.  

  • Researching and corresponding to help assist employees, management with questions or concerns.

  • Communicating clear and concisely with employees and customers verbally and in writing.

  • Executes all terms and conditions as set forth in BAC Transportation’s employee handbook.


  • High school education or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred. PHR Certification Preferred.

  • Two years of Human Resources administrative and record keeping experience required. DOT experience preferred.

  • One year of supervisory experience preferred.

  • Must have excellent typing / computer skills, including proficiency in windows, Microsoft Office (especially Excel & Word) and the ability to learn new programs quickly.

  • Maintain composure under pressure and stressful situations.

  • Able to bend, lift, push and pull over 25 pounds or more is required.

  • Professional phone voice

  • Current driver’s license

  • Must pass background checks

  • Have a good driver history record

  • Must be able to read and write in the English language.

  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays is a must.

Shift Description:

This is a Full-Time position 40 hours a week.  Business is busier in the spring and summer months. This work requires sitting or standing for long periods of time. It can be stressful when dealing with emergency situations or with routine work punctuated by very busy periods.
