Baggage Logistics agent Job Description
This work requires sitting for long periods of time. It can be stressful when dealing with emergency situations or with routine work punctuated by very busy periods.
Job Summary: coordinate, prioritizes, and fulfill baggage delivery schedule transfers on the assigned delivery schedule in a professional, timely manner using good judgment while keeping safety a top consideration.
Take custody of baggage locker keys at the beginning of shift
Complete all duties in a safe, timely, on schedule, lawful manner according to company procedures and protocols.
Able to lift 70lbs regularly
Answer cell phone andradio requests
Speak directly with clients, answering questions
Maintaining solid customer relationships by handling questions and concerns with speed and professionalism as described in the employee hand book.
Monitor the workload of the schedule ensuring on time deliveries
Process and transmit information to other drivers via phone, or text when necessary
Advise other drivers about traffic problems such as construction areas, accidents, congestion, weather conditions or other hazards
Record information as required by the company
Verifying & check deliver routes
Confirm shift availability in a timely manner
Able to be flexible with job duties
Report to managers when something is broken or needs repair
Keep vehicle clean and tidy inside and out
Fuel vehicles as needed
Check company assigned email box daily
Follow directions from the dispatch office regarding updates and schedule changes
Executes all terms and conditions as set forth in BAC Transportation’s employee handbook

Current driver’s license
Must pass pre-employment and random Drug and Alcohol tests
Must pass background checks to include a good driver history record
Must be able to read and write in the English language
Willingness to work weekends and holidays is a must.

Dispatcher on Duty
Baggage Logistics Agents usually work shift’s that vary depending on flight times and delivery volumes and often include, holidays and weekends. They sometimes work longer to complete transfers or wait for relief workers.
